Project Description

His Excellency, Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, The Governor of Gombe State, approved the rehabilitation and expansion of the Gombe regional water supply scheme. This project is aimed at renovation of existing structures, upgrade of all facilities, replacement of worn out components, treatment of water and further reticulation to make safe and clean water accessible to all residents of Gombe State in light of the growing population. Key components of the project include: 1. Rehabilitation of existing water treatment facilities and infrastructure. 2. Expansion of pipeline networks to underserved and newly developed communities. 3. Upgrading of pumping stations, reservoirs and storage tanks. 4. Installation of modern water distribution systems and metering units. 5. Enhancement of water source intake structures to ensure consistent supply. This project is part of the State Government's initiative to address water scarcity, improve public health and support socio-economic development across Gombe State. Upon completion, the expanded scheme is expected to significantly increase water coverage, particularly benefitting rural and peri-urban areas.
