The Public Procurement Bureau, also known as the Due Process Office, was established on January 2008 following an executive approval and officially began operations on February 1, 2008.

The establishment of Council on Public Procurement and Gombe State Public Procurement Bureau (Due Process Bureau) was passed into Law by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on the 30th December, 2019 titled “GOMBE STATE COUNCIL ON PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AND PUBLIC PROCUREMENT BUREAU LAW”.

The Public Procurement Bureau office is headed by Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar as the Director General.

Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Baze University, Abuja.

Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar (Sarkin Sudan Gadam) is from the humbled Royal Family of Gadam District in Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State. He has also held key political roles such as, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Gombe State on Project Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PIME). He also served as the Sole Administrator and Director General of Brigadier Zakari Maimalari International Airport in Gombe State. He is known for his dedication to duty for impactful governance, effective administration, humility and selfless service to humanity.

He completed his primary education at Sunrise International School in Asokoro, Abuja, and continued his studies at New Horizons College, Minna, Niger State. Engr. Abubakar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Baze University, Abuja. He served under the supervision of an international construction company called AGR as a Youth Corper.

He has worked in the private sector for almost 10 years before moving to public sector. Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar has acquired extensive professional experiences across both the private and public sectors. He had brought physical innovations where he worked. His expertise are visible at these reputable organizations; Amborg Global Resources (AGR), Verse Telecommunications and provided wide range of services to some Federal Government MDAs. He is a committed professional and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar is presently, the Director General, Gombe State Due Process Bureau. He is known for his dedication to duty for impactful governance, effective administration, humility and selfless service to humanity.
